Master instruments are crafted entirely by hand over the course of several months. Our atelier completes 2–3 instruments per year. All instruments are uniquely crafted, one-off items with distinctive sound and playing characteristics.
The making process of our new instruments is inspired by our interaction with our customers, musicians who play in the various orchestras and ensembles of Vienna.
model selection
The selection of the individual models is usually based on instruments by such Old Italian Masters as Matteo Gofriller (Venice), Guarnerius del Gesu (Cremona), or Carlo G. Testore (Milano).
For violas we often use a small Old French model, which is also suitable as a Baroque instrument.
