Our atelier offers all repair and maintenance work on stringed instruments. Master instruments should be given a regular cleaning and polishing to maintain the luster of the varnish. The sound quality of an instrument can sometimes be markedly improved by readjusting the bridge and soundpost. Here the selection and combination of strings plays an important role.
We can usually rehair your bow within one day once an appointment has been made.

Restoration

In addition to routine repairs and adjustments, we also carry out large-scale restoration work on Old Master instruments. Special restoration techniques are often required to render these antique instruments playable again.
Ideally, any extensive restoration work should be planned several months in advance and an appointment also made in due time.
